Francesco Decarolis
Francesco Decarolis is a Full Professor of economics at Bocconi University, where he holds the Agnelli Chair of Economics. His research focuses on Industrial Organization and Market Design with applications to government procurement, health insurance and electronic markets. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and a BA from Bocconi University. Prior to joining Bocconi University, he held various appointments including those at Boston University, the University of Wisconsin Madison, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Bank of Italy. He has been a member of the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy of the European Commission DG Comp. Currently he chairs the Digital Advertising unit of the DG Cnect Observatory on the Online Platform Economy and is a member of the Commission that is drafting the Italian Public Procurement Law.
